Agency/Organization Description:

Professional Football Franchise representing the Province of BC as well being a major player in the Vancouver and Canadian sports market. The BC Lions Football Club prides itself on their strong community presence.

Term Length:

September 4^th – December 21^st, 2018 (with the possibility of extension from January through April)

Job Description:

The Community Associate position includes but is not limited to:

Fulfilling day to day donations.

• Execute events such as Pass, Punt, & Kick, Community Football Night, and Skills for Life
• Assist in game day tasks (September 7^th, September 22^nd, October 6^th, October 19^th, and November 3^rd). Attendance on these days is mandatory.
• Fulfilling BC Lions Kids Club orders
• Schedule schools for school program visits commencing in the new year
• Collecting and fulfilling player & mascot appearances.

Skills/Qualifications Required:

• University student having completed or working towards their degree in Sports Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or Human Resources
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Strong interpersonal skills
• A willingness to represent the BC Lions brand in the community
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to lift equipment up to 70 pounds.
• A positive attitude in executing hands-on events

Preferred Skills:

• Class 5 drivers’ license
• Willingness to lift equipment necessary.

Special Requirements:
Flexibility to work irregular hours eg: evenings and weekends. Access to a vehicle is a strong asset.

Compensation:
Approximately $2,050/month
