The BC Lions Football Club is pleased to announce that it will extend its current contract with the City of Kamloops to host training camp through 2014.

“Our time in Kamloops has been nothing short of amazing,” said team president and CEO Dennis Skulsky. “World class facilities, outstanding corporate support and the dedication of Lions fans in the Interior make this decision very easy.”

The Lions have staged training camp in the ‘Tournament Capital’ since 2010 spring boarding them to back-to-back first-place finishes in the West Division and a Grey Cup championship in 2011.

“The City of Kamloops is extremely pleased the BC Lions will be coming back to Kamloops for training camp.  Their decision to extend the contract is a testament to the quality facilities in our city, our hosting abilities and amazing support by our residents and business community,” states City of Kamloops Mayor Peter Milobar.  “We are exceptionally proud to host the Lions for the next two training camps and see them go onto great seasonal play.”

The Lions will return to Kamloops in late May with training camp slated to begin on Sunday, June 2nd.
