DUANE VIENNEAU- CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Duane was named Chief Operating Officer of the Lions on June 22, 2022 and was also announced as incoming president for the 2023 season.

“I am excited to be appointed Chief Operating Officer and I look forward to working with Amar, Rick and the Lions team as we continue to build the legacy of this storied franchise,” said Vienneau.

An experienced and accomplished sports and events executive, Duane most recently served as Chief Grey Cup and Events Officer for the Canadian Football League where he was responsible for helping stage not only the Grey Cup game but all of the league’s major events on the calendar.

Duane also served as Executive Director of two very successful Grey Cup festivals in the 98th and 106th editions played in Edmonton. In between those two Grey Cup ventures, Duane was the Vice President of Marketing and Game Operations with the Edmonton Elks.

Duane’s expertise is not just limited to football. From 2005-09, he was President of the Edmonton Rush Lacrosse Club and later served as the President and CEO of the Tour of Alberta from 2012-17.
