Chase was signed as a free agent by the Lions in June 2023.
Highlights:
2023: Along with earning mini-camp invites from the Atlanta Falcons and Washington Commanders, Chase was selected third overall by the USFL’s Houston Gamblers. After landing on the Lions’ practice squad in June, Brice dressed in a pair of regular season games in a backup role.
College:
2021-22: Transferred to Appalachian State for final two years of eligibility, suiting up in 26 games while completing 461 of 739 passes for 6,258 yards and 54 touchdowns. Added 142 carries for 268 yards and seven majors on the ground.
2020: moved to Duke University where he started all 11 games. Completed 193 of 352 passes for 2,170 yards and ten touchdowns and also added 93 yards and a major on 91 carries.
2017-19: Brice began his college career with the Clemson Tigers. After redshirting in his first season, the Georgia native emerged as the backup to Trevor Lawrence in Clemson’s National Championship season of 2018. Dressing in 25 games for the Tigers, Brice completed 82 of 136 passes for 1,023 yards and nine touchdowns while also adding four majors on the ground.
