Dakota was signed by the Lions as a free agent on February 13, 2024.

Highlights:

2023: Prukop signed with the USFL’s New Jersey Generals in March before suiting up in four games with 31 completions on 50 attempts for 312 yards and three touchdowns. He added 97 yards and one major on the ground. Returned to the Blue Bombers in late June and rushed for 188 yards and 7 touchdowns on 15 total carries with four completions for 28 yards in 15 games. Prukop once again contributed in the Bombers’ playoff run with 33 rushing yards and a pair of majors in their 110th Grey Cup loss to Montreal.

2022: joined the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as a free agent and became a big contributor in their short-yardage game with a career-high 209 yards and six touchdowns on 53 carries and completed seven passes for 181 yards and two majors. Suited up in the 109th Grey Cup loss to Toronto and scored a pair of touchdowns on short-yardage situations.

2021: Prukop landed with the Edmonton Elks as a free agent and appeared in 12 regular season games with 27 carries for 134 yards and two touchdowns. Also completed 12 of 18 pass attempts for 183 yards and one major.

2020: joined the Calgary Stampeders as a free agent but would not suit up with the team after the season was cancelled due to the pandemic.

2017-19: the quarterback suited up with the Toronto Argonauts in 43 games over three seasons. Prukop would earn a Grey Cup ring in his first year with the Boatmen while completing 18 passes for 284 yards and three touchdowns during his Toronto tenure.

College:

2016: transferred to the University of Oregon for his senior season where he appeared in six games with 94 of 143 passing for 1,214 yards and eight touchdowns. Added 171 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the ground.

2013-15: Prukop attended Montana State for three seasons and completed 214 of 333 passes for 3,109 and 24 touchdowns and rushing for 1,231 yards and 15 majors on 209 carries. The Bobcats’ 3,525 yards of total offence in 2015 was the third-highest in program history.
