Harris runs away with Canadian of the Week honours Staff

Putting an exclamation mark on the final regular season game of 2013, BC Lions running back Andrew Harris has been named the CFL’s Canadian Player of the Week after dashing for 102 yards on 16 carries in the club’s 26-7 win over the Calgary Stampeders.

The lofty numbers gave the team’s nominee for Outstanding Canadian 998 rushing yards on the season with 178 coming in the past two games alone. This is Andrew’s second Canadian Player of the Week selection after earning the award back in July following a win over the Toronto Argonauts.

The Lions now begin preparations for the Western Semi-Final to be played in Regina on Sunday, November 10 versus the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
