The BC Lions Football Club is pleased to announce that linebacker Adam Bighill has been selected as the CFL’s 2015 Most Outstanding Defensive Player. The award was handed out at the CFL Player Awards tonight in Winnipeg.

Bighill collects his first career league-wide honour after leading all defensive players with 121 tackles on the year to go along with four sacks and an interception. It also marks the second consecutive year that a Lion has taken home the award after fellow linebacker Solomon Elimimian earned Outstanding Player and Outstanding Defensive Player kudos last year.

Adam becomes the seventh different Leo to be named the league’s top defensive player; a list that includes Bill Baker (’76), James Parker (’84, ’86), Greg Stumon (’87), Brent Johnson (’06), Cam Wake (’07, ‘08) and the aforementioned Solomon Elimimian (’14).
