Jennings and Burnham Collect Top Performer of the Week Honours!

Wins don’t come much more dramatically than the one earned by the Lions Saturday night over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and as a result of the 35-32 overtime comeback thriller, BC quarterback Jonathon Jennings along with receiver Bryan Burnham have each earned CFL Performers of the Week honours as announced by the league this morning.

Good on 32 of his 47 pass attempts for 346 yards and three majors, Jennings engineered a heart-stopping five-play, 75-yard touchdown drive with just 33 seconds left on the clock to pull the Lions within two points of the ‘Cats and then nailed the game-tying two-point conversion to push the game into overtime.

On the receiving end of a pair of fourth quarter TD tosses and the incredibly clutch two-point conversion was none other than receiver Bryan Burnham who totaled 10 receptions on the night and a team-high 90 yards.

The Leos return to the practice this morning in preparation for the same Hamilton TigerCats whom the Lions visit on Saturday afternoon with kickoff slated for 1:00 pm PT.
