Lions Add Two To Practice Roster, Including DB Crezdon Butler

The BC Lions Football Club today announced that American defensive back Crezdon Butler and linebacker Kevin Haynes have been signed by the team.

Butler (6’0”, 191) spent two seasons (’17-’18) with the Saskatchewan Roughriders playing in 26 games notching 70 tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble. The veteran defensive back also appeared in 46 NFL games over seven years with numerous teams.

Haynes (6’1”, 230) appeared in a pair of games with the Montreal Alouettes in 2018, making his CFL debut on July 21 versus the Calgary Stampeders. The Central Washington grad was a back-to-back selection as the Greater Northwest Athletic Conference’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2016 and 2017 and tallied 224 career stops, 32 tackles for a loss, 10 sacks and six interceptions.

The Lions also announced that American LB Carson Ketter and DB Keon Lyn have been released from the practice roster.
