Lions Sign Quarterback Brandon Bridge

The BC Lions Football Club today announced that quarterback Brandon Bridge has been signed by the team.

Bridge (6’5”, 235) has appeared in 67 regular season CFL games with Montreal and Saskatchewan since being drafted by the Alouettes in 2015 (fourth round, 31st overall).

After spending 15 games with Montreal in 2015 and the early part of the 2016 season, Bridge was signed by the ‘Riders as a free agent in July 2016 and dressed for 48 games over the next three seasons in Regina. He also started for the Green and White in last year’s Western Semi-Final versus Winnipeg.

The Toronto native signed with his hometown Argonauts this past offseason and ultimately re-joined the Alouettes as a free agent for four games earlier this season following his release by the Double Blue after training camp.

For his career, Bridge has notched 2,485 passing yards and 13 majors on 211 completions over 322 attempts.

The strong-armed pivot garnered significant attention during the final two years of his college playing days at South Alabama throwing for 2,325 yards and 16 touchdowns over 20 games.
